Elite Force was an elite contingent of the Coruscant Defense Forces during the Galactic Civil War. Under the command of General Tal Ashen of the Galactic Empire, the force was tasked with defending the Imperial Palace. It was composed of various elite stormtroopers, AT-ATs, AT-STs, TIE Advanced x1s, TIE/D Defenders, and other Imperial units in its ranks.^[1] In 7 ABY,^[2] it was defeated and suffered significant losses fighting against New Republic forces led by generals Han Solo and Rand Talor during the Seizure of Coruscant.^[1]
