Nav droid

A nav droid or navidroid was a type of droid that acted as the navigator of a starship.[1] In 3 ABY,[3] the droid Gak-Sixtoo was the nav droid of the barge of the Hutt Bokku[1] and the Hutt Flagship.[2] Navdroids were used to make calculations in order to navigate ships through hyperspace. Navidroids were also used to detect and evade any granules missed on the calculated lanes, making adjustments along the vector. After the Great Hyperspace Disaster, the Hetzalian technician Keven Tarr created an array of thousands of high-end navidroids to calculate future Emergences of hyperspace debris.[4]
