- "In the Guild, oddballs are the norm, not the exception. […] Take […] Count Dojarat of Prospera Jang, the gentleman adventurer who lets his marks go free if they beat him at boxing."
- ―Arack Dostryt, the Bounty Hunters Guild Handbook[3]
Prospera Jang was a celestial body[4] located in the Prospera Jang system, a part of the Kurost sector[1] in the Slice portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] At some point between 39 BBY and 34 BBY, Corporate Alliance forces under the command of the Harch military leader Trench captured the Kurosti merchant fleet during a daring raid at Prospera Jang.[4] The Aqualish bounty hunter Count Dojarat hailed from Prospera Jang, a fact that was noted by Arack Dostryt, the Director of Recruiting for the Bounty Hunters' Guild, in a section of an edition of the Bounty Hunters Guild Handbook published[3] at some point between 19 BBY and 0 BBY.[5]
Behind the scenes[]
Prospera Jang was introduced in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart.[4] The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas later placed the Prospera Jang system, and therefore Prospera Jang, in grid square Q-11.[1]
