Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Blackpool Pleasure Beach was an amusement park in the town of Blackpool, England.

History[]

In 1985, the Sixth Doctor and Peri Brown visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach, where they encountered the Celestial Toymaker and his servant, Stefan.

Amusements included Galactic Adventure, a roller coaster and a ghost train. Visitors could buy candy floss and toffee apples. (PROSE: The Nightmare Fair / AUDIO: The Nightmare Fair)

By 2089, climate change caused it to be overtaken by jungle and abandoned. It was turned into a hunting ground, which was rented by Triss and his friends for a stag party. (PROSE: All the Empty Towers)

The Tenth Doctor compared "[being] able to say that [he'd] looked through the Forty-Foot telescope" to "buying a t-shirt to say [he'd] been on the log flume at Blackpool Pleasure Beach".
