Ackleton

Ackleton was a town in Lancashire. The Sixth Doctor, Evelyn Smythe, and Thomas Brewster visited in the 19th century.

Prior to the Doctor's visit, the main employer of the town had been a silk mill, however that went out of business, and Ackleton suffered because of it. After a time, the Carlian calling himself Samuel Belfrage started up a business of copper mining in the area, employing men from the town, and later, Thomas Brewster. (AUDIO: Industrial Evolution)
