Colin Skinner

Colin Skinner was a member of LINDA, a group which met in order to discuss and share their interest in the Doctor.

Skinner, along with Bridget Sinclair, Ursula Blake and Bliss, had noticed that "a man called the Doctor" had been at the heart of many of the strange things that had been happening to the Earth in recent years. Joining together, they formed an "inner sanctum" researching and studying the Doctor, discovering that his involvement stretched back many years. (PROSE: The Time Traveller's Almanac)

Something of an intellectual, "Mr Skinner" wrote at least one novel and speculated as to the Doctor's symbolic importance. After Ursula Blake took a photograph of the Doctor on Christmas Day following the Sycorax invasion of Earth, Mr Skinner identified him. In the following year, they were joined by Elton Pope, who named the group LINDA. Skinner played the drums when LINDA became a band.

He developed feelings for fellow member Bridget Sinclair, but she went missing, absorbed by Victor Kennedy (in reality the Abzorbaloff), the group's new leader. After attempting to leave with Ursula Blake and Elton Pope, he was tricked and absorbed by the Abzorbaloff, embedded on the left side of his belly. When he began to fight back and the Abzorbaloff was defeated by Elton, he died completely. (TV: Love & Monsters)

In another outcome, the Abzorbaloff was seated within basement unit 4b after absorbing Captain Jack Harkness, Mickey Smith, Yvonne Hartman and Lynda Moss into his torso, with Lynda's face appearing in the place of Mr Skinner who, along with Ursula, was not visible. In another outcome, the Abzorbaloff was running in the vicinity of Maccateer Street after absorbing Luke Rattigan, the Tenth Doctor, Miss Hartigan, Donna Noble and Sarah Jane Smith into his torso in addition to Ursula and Mr Skinner. (GAME: Tummy Trouble ^[+]Loading...["Tummy Trouble (game)"])

In another outcome, after absorbing Ursula, the Abzorbaloff may have returned to posing as Victor Kennedy and had become involved in the Children of Skaro's Master Plan, aiding one of the warring factions. (GAME: Exterminate! ^[+]Loading...["Exterminate! (game)"])

When Davros asked the Doctor, "How many have died in your name?" Colin was one of the many in the recollection of events. (TV: Journey's End)

• Excluding Bliss, the script for Journey's End called for flashbacks to the Abzorbaloff faces of Mr Skinner, Bridget and Ursula. In the episode, only Skinner is shown absorbed, followed by clips of Ursula and Bridget prior to their absorption.^[1]
