William Freer was an associate of Noël Coward, and an author. He wrote The Slaves of Sutekh. He was secretly the lover of Princess Margaret, whom he first contacted while practising dark magic. He travelled back to 1942 and infiltrated the Smudgelings. He wanted to manipulate Reginald Tyler into changing his novel The True History of Planets from a sword and sorcery story to a propaganda piece to help Margaret take over the Dog World. Once he had served his purpose, Margaret killed him by ripping out his throat. (PROSE: Mad Dogs and Englishmen)
