Karen was co-starring on an unnamed movie with Harold Edsel, with which the Autobots somehow managed to get themselves involved. Karen was given the taxing acting role of running up to Harold as he crawled away from various crashed Autobots, expressing her concern and kissing him. Later the filming of some Decepticon activity resulted in the movie turning into a science fiction epic titled Attack of the Alien Robots. With that change, her role became that of a science fiction damsel in distress — fleeing from the "evil alien robots", tripping, and being rescued by her male co-star. Hoist Goes Hollywood

Notes
- Karen Fishook is a parody of Carrie Fisher, or more specifically her character in the Star Wars movies, Princess Leia (she has exactly the same 'hair buns'). Coincidentally, she shares a name with Karen Allen, who played Indiana Jones' first and foremost love interest.
- In the original episode script, her name was Carrie Fishook. Evidently, someone must have thought this was a little too close to the real thing, hence the later revision.
- Interestingly, she was voiced by Susan Blu, who would later voice Arcee. Arcee would be described by her creators as "the naked mechanical equivalent of Princess Leia".
