King Waruder - Transformers Wiki
- ️Sun May 22 2011
This article is about the Waruder character Daros. For the planet, see Daros.
- The King Waruder is the Waruder leader from the Diaclone continuity family.
Last of the trinity that once ruled the Waruder army, King Waruder leads from the front lines, piloted by Daros. His strength is an order of magnitude greater than any of his loyal troops, and combines with his cunning intellect to make him a superlative force on the battlefield, one that will stop at nothing to sate his race's all-consuming hunger.

Notes
- King Waruder was conceived as part of an unrealised plan to produce new heads, based on the original Waspinator toy's non-mutant robot head, that could be included with the Transformers Collectors' Club's remaining unsold stock of the Waruder Marauders, allowing them to be sold as different characters.[1][2] While the plans fell through, the Club eventually published the bios that had been produced for the initiative on Twitter on its last day of operation.[3]
- King Waruder's profile establishes him as being (part of) Warudaros (ワルダロス), the classic Diaclone toy upon which Storm Rider's deco is based. The former trinity of rulers refers to Warudaros's nature as a combination of three piloted vehicles, whilst King Waruder's solo invasion of Earth recalls Warudaros's initial status as the lone Diaclone villain toy before the introduction of more Waruder toys (although it doesn't reflect the story as conveyed in the original Diaclone catalogs). Per the profile's writer, Daniel Arseneault, the black Thrasher figure is intended to represent Daros (rather than the red Crusher figure packaged with Storm Rider), due to more closely matching one of the original Warudaros's pilots.[4]
- In the original Diaclone story material, the Waruder leader is instead titled Emperor Waruder (帝王ワルダー Teiō Warudā).
- In case you were wondering, the Waruder face shown in the race's insignia is not that of the Emperor Waruder, but Ingham (インガム Ingamu), a Waruder general.
