Official Scale Stuff

Official sizes page is currently protected from editing so I’ll just leave some sources for movie stuff that have yet to be added here:

Shatter’s official height (16 feet): https://luisguggenberger.artstation.com/projects/L2rVR5

AOE early concept scale chart: https://www.jeffreybeecroft.com/film#/transformersageofextinction/

Even earlier AOE concept scale chart: https://tanatanakyn.blogspot.com/2015/01/transformers-exhibition-part-02-zone-1.html?m=1

I wonder what they were thinking when they apparently considered making Crosshairs almost as tall as Prime lmao. Concept art sure can be crazy. Steampunk671213 (talk) 19:40, 7 February 2025 (EST)

Go-Bot Page

Why are you against my merger with those go-bot page if i may be so bold to ask?--Projectus (talk) 20:56, 3 October 2021 (EDT)

Ok, sorry

Can I re-upload it after it fits the standards of this wiki? --GobotsFanForever (talk) 20:08, 9 April 2021 (EDT)

Sure, but you might be better off finding a different image of Whirl. In the one you uploaded, she's just sort of standing there, while all the other images are more dynamic and show her actually doing things. Try to find something more distinct that better conveys what the character is doing in the episode. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 20:39, 9 April 2021 (EDT)

Hoist Goes Hollywood

You reverted my edit saying it was "still a stretch." What I wrote was:

"The Autobot cast for this episode is particularly appropriate. Apart from Hoist, all the Autobots who crash the filming in search of stardom are notably vain attention-seekers. Though this trait is rarely played up with Warpath, his ego regarding his gun and shooting skills is mentioned in his bios, and he appropriately makes his entrance by displaying his sharpshooting skills."

My question is this: How the heck is that a stretch? It notes what was clearly the writer's intention in casting the episode and explains the choice of a character who would seemingly be the odd man out.

I don't do a lot of editing on here, and I genuinely try to do so only when I feel I'm adding something or improving something in accordance with the standards as I understand them, but I've had several edits reverted recently that I had put a good amount of thought into, and the justifications for those reversions have been uniformly unsatisfying and very poorly explained. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tjfosko (talkcontribs).

I genuinely don't think the writer put that much thought into it. And unless you have an interview with the writer saying as much, you can't say it was clearly their intention; it was more likely as simple as them being told "here's the toy(s) we want to promote this week, write a story about them". This just feels like adding a note for the sake of adding a note on an overly crowded page. (I personally think a lot of the existing notes don't serve to add much either, so it's not just a you thing.) And please remember to sign your talk page posts. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 23:29, 15 May 2021 (EDT)
So, you don't think the writer of the episode picked specifically four glory-hounds to crash a movie studio hoping for stardom, but that he instead got a note saying, "We want you to sell Hoist, Tracks, Sunstreaker, Powerglide, and Warpath this week"? Look at Earl Kress's episode credits. "The Immobilizer" is practically the only episode dealing with Ironhide's age (besides a few minor asides) and actually features a rare instance of Trailbreaker being a jokester. "B.O.T.," for all its flaws, plays up Swindle better than any other episode. "Desertion of the Dinobots" doesn't have the same degree of focus, but the episodes he wrote tend to be very strong in their depictions of characters. Even if your scenario of "promote these toys this week" is accurate (which I don't think it is, as the production materials that I've seen make it seem like Hasbro gave broad strokes with the exception of a few instances of "don't use this guy because we aren't releasing him" (Reflector) or "shove this in somewhere because it's a new toy" (Protectobots)), that only makes the cast more noteworthy, as it's an incredibly convenient accident. It seems way, way more likely that the writers, with the exception of the more mercenary jobs like "The Search for Vector Sigma," were given a box of toys and told, "these are your available characters, choose as you wish."
As for the unsigned comment, my bad. Slipped my mind. Trying to keep up with that. Tjfosko (talk) 11:51, 17 May 2021 (EDT)

Just a suggestion

Since G1 Optimus Prime and Megatron have an extremely long list of appearances and will likely have even more in the future, can I split their Game appearances into separate pages? --GobotsFanForever (talk) 13:36, 16 August 2021 (EDT)

This has actually already been proposed over at Talk:Optimus Prime (G1)#Another split? -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 13:43, 16 August 2021 (EDT)

Arcana

Hi. I just edited the Arcana page. However, I can't make the caption link to the page. The link and the caption are separate. Could you edit it so that the caption links to the page, please? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cybertron1986 (talkcontribs). 15:09, 15 September 2021 (EDT)

I suppose I should learn how to do it on practice pages. Thank you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cybertron1986 (talkcontribs). 15:14, 15 September 2021 (EDT)

My mistake

Wait really? Oh gosh, my extreme apologies then! I wasn't aware that was a UK English spelling! I saw both Installment and Instalment on the same page and thought it was an error. BigRobot (talk) 23:05, 26 September 2021 (EDT)BigRobot

Delete

why do you keep deleting my stuff? is it irrelevant? Tylerwu (talk) 13:27, 8 November 2021 (EST)

Irrelevant and/or inaccurate. For example, you claimed Doublecrosser said something that was actually said by Bug Bite, and you repeatedly got Rack'n'Ruin's name wrong. Also, you really need to stop trying to remove every instance of profanity; the wiki has always been PG-13, and any words that have been used in official Transformers media like "bitch" and "shit" are okay for use. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 13:40, 8 November 2021 (EST)
Noted, but that sounds unprofessional. Also, watch the tone. you are unnecessarily rude. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tylerwu (talkcontribs).
What I wrote in that page is relevant, it Is understandable taking from the list Grimlock (WFC) and Sideswipe (WFC) but tell me were Is Servo or Metroplex I never saw them in the list. (User talk: Rodezno7045).

Apology

For your politeness, I would like to formally apologize. I know I was being a jerk and being immature. That happens to me all the time. I'm sorry I did all that to you. Just please remember that not everyone needs to be treated like underlings and so. But in my case, I totally deserved it. So I'm just apologising. Thanks, Tylerwu (talk) 16:23, 8 November 2021 (EST)

I genuinely appreciate the apology, but actions ultimately speak louder than words, so I hope you take this to heart and practice better judgment going forward. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 16:35, 8 November 2021 (EST)

Universal

Hello, can you keep some of my edits? or at least change them? I feel like the "difference from film" section might be relevant. Also, ironhide and ratchet don't speak. Should they still be credited? Tylerwu (talk) 19:58, 3 December 2021 (EST)

It's not really meant to be explicitly based on any of the films, so it's largely unnecessary to note any differences. And as I said before, there's no reason for us to document what happens when the ride breaks because it's not standard procedure, and not everyone is going to have the same experience during a malfunction, so it's impossible to log every possible result. Also, Ratchet and Ironhide appear and speak in the queue for the ride, which the article also covers. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 20:21, 3 December 2021 (EST)

Play Doh

Hi, you deleted my stuff about the compound from the spoiler boxes from the WFC trilliogy toys because it was not marketed as playdoh, yet now, there is a new section about playdoh. Even though it IS playdoh, it was never marketed as playdoh. If you choose to keep it, why delete mine? Tylerwu (talk) 21:45, 13 January 2022 (EST)

Apart from the fact that I didn't even realize someone had added it back until a few days ago (and was convinced to let it stay in a separate discussion), the current write-up is much more detailed and actually explains why it's mentioned in the Play-Doh article. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 22:21, 13 January 2022 (EST)

Whirl - Marvel UK - Time Wars

You removed my parenthetical regarding Whirl's lack of appearance because you believed it had no bearing on his survival. However, no one knows what happened to Whirl since he never appeared, and that makes his survival ambiguous. The current note is also confusing as written because it implies Whirl appears in Time Wars, but he doesn't. I was trying to add in some clarity to answer a question I'd been trying to get answered for myself, as I looked through the wiki trying to figure out what happened to Whirl or if he'd died in a story that I somehow didn't have in my collection (since my G1 comics collection is the Titan collections, and with the weird way the UK stories were collected I wasn't 100% positive I had all the relevant stories), and it took far more digging than it should have for me to figure it out, and the Time Wars note did cause me actual confusion.Tjfosko (talk) 12:28, 17 February 2022 (EST)

I disagree with outright questioning his survival, but I do think it's worth bringing up on his page that he stopped appearing, without us outright saying he's alive or dead. Escargon (talk) 12:34, 17 February 2022 (EST)
I added a note to Whirl's character page to that effect. It was also deleted. Like probably 90% of the edits I make. C'est la vie. And I don't really mean to so much question his survival but to say that there's never any real statement as to what happened to him.Tjfosko (talk) 12:46, 17 February 2022 (EST)

Re:Account rename

Thanks for the heads up! But there were other reasons why I wanted to ditch my old account, such as it being tied to an email I don't have access to anymore and me only vaguely remembering the password. It's not like I did much on it anyway, I think my most notable contribution was correcting a typo or two. If the staff wants me to use my old account for safe-keeping purposes or something, then I'd be fine with that though. --AmeliaLH (talk) 00:01, 25 February 2022 (EST)

No worries. This was more just to ask if you would rather use a renamed old account or a fresh account since the rules only permit you to have one. I'll close your old account then. Thanks, and happy editing! -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 00:36, 25 February 2022 (EST)

"nipping this in the bud"

I take it you're just going to block me so you don't have to provide an argument, yeah? Elita1 (talk) 23:14, 26 February 2022 (EST)

I don't have to. As our policy states, "he who owns the house, makes the rules". And as all of the admins are of the agreement that white nationalism is bad and have never been afraid to call out shitty people (see: Pat Lee, Adam Baldwin), I see no reason why the paragraph should be removed. The fact that you joined just to do so indicates your intentions are less than noble. I suggest you drop it, or you will find yourself banned immediately. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 23:19, 26 February 2022 (EST)
As you wish. Elita1 (talk) 23:30, 26 February 2022 (EST)

Discord ban appeal

Hey, not sure if you are the right person to ask, but over a year ago, I don’t quite recall when, I was (rightfully) banned from the Discord server for my immature and attention seeking behaviour, truthfully I am glad I was banned sooner than later since at that time I probably would’ve gotten myself banned for something much worst, Now that over a year has passed, and I’ve dealt with a lot of the issues I had with my life and gotten myself in a better place, mentally socially, etc and again I’m into Transformers than ever I wanted to be able to contribute to the Wiki again, and learn how to be more professional about my edits, and I’d like to rejoin the discord server for that purpose, in order to discuss wiki contributions, unlike before when I *only* wanted it as a place to talk and receive attention when I had no one else to talk to in my life, I don’t mean to come off as sappy or anything of the sort, just me asking for a second chance and stating how I intend to be better if given it. (I was Lucas-Magic-Ninja’s on the Discord). Hexnut17 (talk) 00:38, March 19 2022 (EST)

I've spoken to the admin who issued your ban and they're willing to give you another shot. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 12:36, 19 March 2022 (EDT)

Rewording

I wasn’t trying to remove Nick Studios on the EarthSpark page, I was trying to condense the sentence to be the same one that says how it is developed by eOne and Nick. There was another sentence that said Nick Studios is producing, so I wanted to merge the two and make it say that it is being co-produced and developed by them. But the caption still doesn’t make sense to me, since it isn’t for Nick alone anymore and the Nick who is a character designer isn’t really the person who the show is "by." Taylr2000 (talk) 23:28, 12 April 2022 (EDT)

It's simple wordplay, and it's still a show featuring designs by Nick Roche for Nickelodeon Studios. And the existing verbiage for the paragraph is fine. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 00:03, 13 April 2022 (EDT)

Tagging stock images

Sorry to bother you but how do i add the stock tag to an image im uploading? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kirby54 (talkcontribs).

Just type {{stock}} and the wiki will do the rest. We have a bunch of different stock templates for different toylines, so take a look through this category and find the one that fits best, then just type the name of that template between brackets. For example, if you're uploading a stock image of a Collaborative toy, type {{Collaborativestock}}.

Thrash Picture Caption

I understand how the first caption could have been taken as “whining”, with the ellipses and whatnot, but please explain why you consider the second attempt as me “whining”. It has a joking tone (as I was originally going for). I would simply like explanation, for as far as I can see, it’s far from plain complaining.

DeathwingTech (talk) 19 November 2022 (EDT)

Sure still came off whiny. Plus, captions where every word links to something else are a big no-no. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 01:07, 20 November 2022 (EST)
Alright, in that case, how would you suggest fixing it? I do feel that it’s a good punchline, just needs a better tone. And thank you for clarifying, I’m pretty new around here! — DeathwingTech (talk) 19 November 2022 (EDT)
I don't think there's any fixing it. Like, it's not even a joke, it's just saying there are other motorcycle characters. Half your examples aren't even main characters. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 01:16, 20 November 2022 (EST)
I mean, I’ve seen multiple examples of characters’ main captions comparing them to coincidentally similar characters, but if you say so. DeathwingTech 01:27, 20 November 2022 (EST)

Hey obviously I am updating this. Dreadwing has just been mentioned in Siege episode 5 as a Seeker in the past. Not sure where to update this history for the character.--Grauntlet (talk) 20:12, 26 April 2023 (EDT)

APOLOGIES! I AM SO SORRY!

I made an edit a few days back on the sg Optimus page and didn’t realize that with the context of the image, it seemed like a George Floyd joke. I was trying to make a gag about Donald trump cuz I thought it was funny but I didn’t think about the fact that the image directly mirrored the incident. I take full responsibility for this and sincerely apologize, I hope I’m using this page right also! Yours truly, --Carno (talk) 12:48, 29 May 2023 (EDT)

I don't know who to write to about it, but I saw you admonished me once about the images, so maybe you'll know something. If I have an image with an unnecessary background (e.g. Steeljaw Toy), can I upload this image to a graphics program and cut out the background? Thanks in advance for your answer

This message doesn't seem very mature

Look at the top of Talk:Sideways (ROTF) and look at Semysane's message. SuperKilogram (talk) 15:52, 29 June 2023 (EDT)

What relevance does a talk page message from 13 years ago have to anything? -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 17:01, 29 June 2023 (EDT)

Should this be on Sideways' page

On the Sideways disambiguation page, there is a bullet point that says "Your mom", is that supposed to be there? SuperKilogram (talk) 15:52, 29 June 2023 (EDT)

Yes. Sideways once suggested that "your mom" was another incarnation of him in Ask Vector Prime. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 16:59, 29 June 2023 (EDT)

ROTB Screencaps

Apologies for the sudden message, but I was wondering if it would be okay to upload screencaps from the YouTube Rise of the Beasts Videos for certain pages for use on character pages. They technically are within the guidelines under the ruling of "No leaks" as the screenshots are from publicly available videos on YouTube via the official Paramount Pictures Channel, and I believe they are of a good picture quality. If we need to wait until a home release is made, then I understand, but I wanted your input before jumping the gun on the matter. -- MavPolly123 (talk) 18:26, 29 June 2023 (EDT)

Yes, anything screencaps from official trailers or preview clips is fair game. If they're on an official Hasbro or Paramount channel, they're 100% okay to use. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 18:52, 29 June 2023 (EDT)

ROTB Airazor

What seems to be the issue with me merely adding that she was originally adding that she never transformed or that she was supposed to?

Because both those things are already noted on her page. Also, sign your posts. (Type ~~~~) -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 20:56, 2 July 2023 (EDT)
I added to one of those and that's when you replied back to stop edit-warring it.

Puffer

I’ve recently added information about g1 Puffer. Unfortunately you deleted my entry, because I had no source. Unfortunately the website where Puffer was first mentioned, does not exist anymore (since it has been more than 20 years ago). So that pretty much rules out any proof I have of my text. I know for a fact that what I’ve posted, really happened. But I don’t have any proof of that. Is there any way that you do add the information? Just until someone can proof something else (which they can’t because I know what legitimately happened :-)) Hope you can reconsider! Thanks in advance! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by GodGinrai (talkcontribs).

Sorry, but you need proof for a claim like this. Besides, even if the story was true, I genuinely doubt it's the reason the toy was named as such; like, is there literally any reason to believe that Hasbro named the toy for that reason and not just the obvious "Pipes + Huffer"? Sometimes, the simplest answer is the right one. (Also, remember to type ~~~~ to sign your talk page posts.) -- 10:49, 4 July 2023 (EDT)
Well, hold on, I agree that there needs to be more proof, but Hasbro absolutely named the toy that because it was a long-standing fan nickname. If we can find more proof that verifies GodGinrai's story, I think it should absolutely be included; the people at Hasbro might not have known its history, but that doesn't make it any less worthy of inclusion. Escargon (talk) 11:14, 4 July 2023 (EDT)
Thanks Escargon! And I actually found some sort of proof, on the old ATT newsgroup. I do mention Puffer (although making him Klaas as I mentioned in my earlier post). But the post from early 2000 is some sort of proof: https://groups.google.com/g/alt.toys.transformers/c/YkR6bBAj9ww/m/bpGU4XDJkVoJ. On April 1 2000 I say: “ The reason WHY we called him Klaas cause it's because we didn't knew it was Huffer or Pipes... so we we're discussing that..eventually it was something like: "Blue Huffer.. No.. Alter-Transform-Pipes... Puffer.. Hipes...screw it.. it's KLAAS!.. hehehehe OK :)”
As you see in the discussion, no one has ever seen or mentioned Puffer before. This was the first time I explained where the name came from. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by GodGinrai (talkcontribs).
Perhaps, but I question the ability to claim this as the name's definitive origin point, especially 14 years removed from the toy's original release; it seems more likely IMO that "Puffer" is an obvious enough portmanteau like "Bumper" that a lot of people independently came up with it, and it's just one of those things that gradually spread. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 16:17, 9 July 2023 (EDT)
I had a search of ATT and it does look like the earliest uses of Puffer were from GodGinrai and Devvi, with it later being used by others (here's Nevermore using it in 2004 [1]) so lacking other evidence, I can buy that they coined the term originally and it caught on in Fandom. Though I don't know that we want to go into the amount of detail present in the original note. --abates (talk) 16:42, 9 July 2023 (EDT)
so.. are we cool to post the extra info I gave on Puffer? The proof is there and I believe it’s a cool piece of background information about the origin of the name Puffer. Hope you agree! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by GodGinrai (talkcontribs).
I added back a truncated version of the note with the cited source, as I agree with Abates that there didn't need to be that much detail. Also, once again, please sign your posts. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 09:13, 12 July 2023 (EDT)

So there's a guy who removed my image of Bisk on his page twice

Do you agree with why he said he removed it? He said it's cluttering the page, which isn't really the case to me. SerafettinB (talk) 4:35, 6 July 2023 (TRT)

Don't know about Cyberlink, but I definitely agree with Saix. Three images in that short section of text is too much. --Khajidha (talk) 15:25, 6 July 2023 (EDT)

Partner up!

Hi, my name is Kate and I am the founder of the Independent Fallout Wiki (over yonder at fallout.wiki). A few members of our community recommended your wiki as one we should reach out to in order to partner up with (big fans!) The Independent Fallout Wiki split off the corporately hosted wiki to give independence a whirl in April 2022. We want to strengthen relationships between other independent wikis, as our community has interests that span beyond Fallout and are excited to check out other independent sites.

What does a partnership even mean? Good question! On our end, we feature your website on the wiki as both an article and part of the home page spotlight rotation. If you have a Discord, we also feature your invite along with links to your YouTube/website/videos. If you have similar spaces, we just ask that you do the same for us. You can check out the list of our current wiki buddies here!

These partnerships work well to connect independent wikis, lead to new friends, and are generally good vibes across the board. I appreciate you considering our request to partner up! If you feel like giving it a go or have any questions, feel free to respond here or message me on Discord (kateaces) or let me know who I should reach out to if you aren't in the partnerin business. Thank you so much in advance!

United Nations Space Law.

Hello, on the 18th of November you edited a post I made on the TFP episode 'Deadlock', citing that UN laws do not apply in space. I would like to present the following point to reinstate the edit accordingly;

https://www.unoosa.org/oosa/en/ourwork/spacelaw/index.html

Following the few laws set in space, it is noted that any astronaut in space must be considered an 'envoy of mankind'. Whilst Knock-Out is, obviously, not a human - he is still considered an enemy of the united states based on the clandestine war being held between the US divisions assisting the Autobots and the Decepticons. Therefore, Miko is expected to maintain these laws accordingly.

Whilst considered an enemy he is still, following our laws, subject to rights of soldiers in war regardless of the invading force's following of said laws.

Ergo, legally speaking, Miko is a war-criminal and I feel it is important to educate (and entertain) readers on the matter, and I would appreciate if you would reconsider your decision.

If you decide it is not to be, then I understand and wish you a lovely day and a happy 2024 to come regardless. We all deserve a pleasant year and good fortune in these times.

Sincerely, Minty. --—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mintyfreshtea (talkcontribs) 23:23, 2 January 2024 (EST).

You are reading way too much into a one-off gag. The edit stands. Also, please use ~~~~ to automatically sign your posts. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 00:07, 3 January 2024 (EST)
Thank you for the insight on the sign-off, but I would appreciate you don't speak to me like that. Telling someone they're "just reading too much" into it doesn't promote discussion. I'm not presenting a 'crack theory' or going out of my way to rant about how 'children cannot be soldiers in the Transformers show' as that would be a banal point. But Miko did assault someone who was not in a position nor a proclivity to fight back, and I feel it's important to note this at the very least.
Perhaps a compromise - without citing laws if you feel they are inappropriate for the space. Maybe "Miko is noted to attack Knock-Out after he defects" - and, if humour is what was lacking from the trivia? "Not cool." Added to the end?
Active critiques of media assist us in recognising inappropriate behaviour and analyze the writing of these shows, for example there is a section (using Knock-Out for example) where they comment on the stilted reaction of the audience during a 'QnA'.
I understand you're a big name in the community and hold a lot of weight, you've been on a lot of shows (I recognised the username admittedly) and you are an avid editor on this wiki. I respect this, and I would like to collaborate rather than us leaving this element absent entirely.
Sincerely, Minty.

No. --M Sipher (talk) 02:32, 4 January 2024 (EST)
This does hurt to experience from two administrators. This no longer feels like a wiki where I am welcome, nor that I have been heard or that I have been respected. I have presented my case, and I have been responded to with neither care nor consideration - but, I still hope you have a good day regardless of how this exchange has made me feel
Thank you Sipher and Cyberlink for your time.
Sincerely, Mintyfreshtea (talk) 02:42, 4 January 2024 (EST)
It was a tangential trivia note that had very little to do with the episode, something we have actively taken steps to curtail in recent years, and one that makes a lot of assumptions about how international human law applies to the Cybertronian conflict that are not spelled out in the material as presented. And your compromise of "Miko is noted to attack Knock-Out after he defects. Not cool." isn't even adding any meaningful commentary at that point; it's just observing a thing that happens in the episode with no further analysis to explain why that's significant, making it even less worthy of inclusion. Furthermore, if being told "no" once by an authority figure is enough to inspire this level of vitriol, particularly when the initial response was not especially harsh, it does call into question your ability to edit collaboratively with others in the first place; per a discussion with other members of the administration, everyone is in agreement that your behavior in response to this incident has been out of line. Please take some time to reflect and decide whether this single bullet point is really worth getting this emotional over. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 14:43, 4 January 2024 (EST)

Blocks

can you stop blocking me because i accidentally sign into the wrong account? i'm trying to contribute but i keep getting locked out. Tylerwu (talk) 21:22, 12 January 2024 (EST)

I legitimately have no idea what you're talking about. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 21:23, 12 January 2024 (EST)
EDIT: Okay, now I see what you're talking about. Unfortunately, per our policies, you're only allowed to have one username. As I recall, you were very close to being fully banned for being in violation of that rule, but it was decided to just ban the alt instead. I suggest you just stick with your existing account, or else you will find yourself fully banned. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 21:35, 12 January 2024 (EST)

Thank you

Thanks for helping me with this article, I'm still new and getting used to the formatting. Hilfam (talk) 21:46, 7 February 2024 (EST)

Brad's girlfriend

I think given comments in the film it's pretty clear that the Maaco - Transformers The Last Knight Commercial: Brad Decision commercial is further developing this subplot. Which page would this be most appropriate to mention it on? Astrobotix (talk) 22:43, 21 March 2024 (EDT)

It's really not. There's literally no evidence at all, overt or implied, that this is referring to the same Brad. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 22:46, 21 March 2024 (EDT)
Well, where do we document marketing material associated with the films. The ad itself is worth documenting even if you don't agree with Brad. Astrobotix (talk) 22:50, 21 March 2024 (EDT)
Commercial/The Last Knight. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 22:52, 21 March 2024 (EDT)
Thanks for your help! Astrobotix (talk) 22:54, 21 March 2024 (EDT)

Quotes

I thought that other user was referring to the quote which was attached to the other image of the Unicron page...which really was a bad quote according to the points you raised in the message you left in your edit. I left a note on the user's page as that quote is the only quote that actually identifies the book by that name so I thought it was important. Astrobotix (talk) 00:25, 22 March 2024 (EDT)

I have some questions in regards to image captions

As far as I know, just changing jokes to other jokes without adding actual information is not allowed. is adding nothing but jokes to images that don't have any not allowed too?

Also, would you guys have problems with adding screencaps from cartoons where the caption is just mentioning what is in the image without making any jokes?

SerafettinB (talk) 18:55, 6 June 2024 (TRT)

Yes, repeated adding of captions without information is frowned upon. If someone is an established user with a long history of positive contributions, we're more lenient if they want to add a joke to a blank caption here or there. The ability to add jokes has always been meant as a reward for the people who are actually putting in the work, and the people who aren't willing to do so usually don't get to stick around long.
As for your other question, descriptive or informative captions are only needed if it's something that can't be conveyed just by looking at the image, though doing so may be redundant if the exact same text explaining it is already on the page in close proximity. The Decepticon Waspinator pic you uploaded, for example, probably didn't need the caption because there was already a note next to it explaining why he had a Decepticon insigna, hence why I scrapped the caption and just added (seen at right) to the end of the existing note to illustrate that's what it was talking about. In those instances, it's okay to just leave the caption blank or put a joke in as long as there's accompanying text to explain the context.
I'd recommend reading our captions policy to get a more in-depth understanding of what is and isn't permitted on that front. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 14:07, 7 June 2024 (EDT)

Brawl in Skybound issue 7

Hey just wondering about the removed edit to Skybound issue 7 about Brawl. What was ambiguous about it; my observation or my wording? Also was that the right place to put such things in the first place? Lastly, I think my theory is relevant given issue #9.(Ratbat72! (talk) 21:53, 10 June 2024 (EDT)) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ratbat72! (talkcontribs).

Like I said, the page itself is too ambiguous. It's too hard to tell from the silhouettes who they actually are. If you don't have more substantial evidence than "it kinda looks like them", it shouldn't be added to the page. And I don't know what you mean about Issue 9, since it's not out yet. Also, please sign your posts. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 02:01, 9 June 2024 (EDT)

AH ok that makes sense. It looks like I got my copy of Issue #9 before street date; so I guess I'll stop talking for now. (Ratbat72! (talk) 21:53, 10 June 2024 (EDT))

Discord

Hey, um, I have a problem with the discord wiki you guys got. I just joined in the discord to hang but someone on it kicked me out and i can't get back in. Is there a problem i had or...? B-Master2020 (talk) 18:15, 25 June 2024 (EDT)

I still haven't got an answer to why I was kicked out of the discord. It's still not letting me back in. B-Master2020 (talk) 22:16, 7 October 2024 (EDT)
I was told you were blocked for the linking of wildly inappropriate content in your Discord profile, and that the ban is non-negotiable. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 00:22, 8 October 2024 (EDT)
But i didn’t have any links to any inappropriate content on my discord profile. You didn’t told me i was blocked for that. Do I ever do that on that server? I would never do that. I just joined in and then suddenly they kicked me out with no reason. B-Master2020 (talk) 12:26, 9 October 2024 (EDT)
I wasn't the one who blocked you since I was away at the time, but multiple other staff members have attested to seeing explicit content linked in your profile, so I stand by their decision. As said before, the block is non-negotiable. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 14:09, 9 October 2024 (EDT)
I have no explicit content on my profile. I have nothing on it that has anything to do with this block. I haven’t broken any rules when i was on that server. You staff members need to recheck it through over this if i done anything, because i’ve been clean on whatever that discord server had! Period. It’s just a discord profile. There’s nothing bad about it having explicit content. What proof do you hve that I have against that? B-Master2020 (talk) 16:44, 9 October 2024 (EDT)
Okay, to be EXCEEDINGLY blunt, your associated social media profiles had a bunch of inappropriate comments about underage-coded characters, along with links to explicit art thereof. The volume of it was enough that multiple people on the mod team were thoroughly creeped out and unanimously decided that's not the kind of thing we want anywhere near our server, hence the block. While our current policies do not dictate that users banned on the Discord must also be banned on the Wiki and vice-versa, I suggest you drop this line of conversation unless you want to be fully cut off here as well. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 18:52, 9 October 2024 (EDT)

I apologize...

Greetings. First, I want to really apologize for not understanding how things work here. It isn't the same thing as Wikipedia, but I still want to be useful. How could I make a new article? I want to write one based on the characters and story arcs featured in the Energon Universe. Thank you.Fico Puricelli (talk) 19:13, 24 July 2024 (EDT)

We don't need an article listing all the characters because we already have categories for that purpose. And we don't need an article with a list of story arcs because that's not how we format information here; each series and issue gets its own individual article, and we only make articles for specific story arcs when they are actually of note, such as a branded crossover story that spans multiple series. If you really want to help, you can look at the character tables on any of the individual issue articles and check to see which ones haven't been made yet or aren't up to date in terms of their EU fiction. Please take note of how other articles are formatted, such as the primarily in-universe writing style and the use of storylink templates to reference when each event took place. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 19:59, 24 July 2024 (EDT)

Thank you

hi,just wanted to say I appreciate you fixing the Robosen article,I was in a rush with school and eager to do something to help the wiki, sorry if I made a mess of things--Balloney (talk) 22:16, 16 October 2024 (EDT)

Writing for the wiki isn't really something you should be rushing. There isn't some time limit in which articles need to be made, and we do have certain standards for contributions, including an understanding of basic spelling, grammar and formatting; otherwise, it just creates more work that other editors need to clean up. I strongly suggest you read our help pages and study how other articles are formatted before making further contributions, or else you may find your edits being reverted simply because other editors don't have the patience to fix any errors. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 00:00, 17 October 2024 (EDT)

There's an user who removed my additions to a bunch of pages

They are called Saix. I don't know why they started doing this since most of these additions were a year ago, and it seemed like they suddenly decided to check my contributions and remove every addition I added to pages

They also frequently remove other people's contributions as well, things like images that were on pages for years. I'm curious why they are frequently doing this. SerafettinB (talk) 21:46, 1 September 2024 (TRT)

I'm still not good at English.

Hay Cyberlink420 I’m sorry I'm still not good at English. And I don’t edit tfone brawn page. But I like Animation error/gallerywiki page. see you next time.user:1542bumblebee(talk)05:43(Korean time)2024 October seventeenth

About "leaked" Wasp boxart

The boxart image of Wasp I uploaded and that you removed for being leaked was not from a leaked source, it was from an official Hasbro Flagship Store listing on Chinese site JD. Same with any other AOTP boxart spreading around. Gigirassy (talk) 13:01, 5 December 2024 (EST)

Megatron

Why was I blocked for uploading a better and more accurate picture of megatron? Idkman (talk) 14:19, 28 December 2024 (EST)

Because you were asked not to repeatedly and kept doing it anyway. There was nothing wrong with the original image, and the replacement wasn't of significantly better quality. As I said before, you've been changing a lot of images just for the sake of changing them, and you've demonstrated a repeated habit of edit warring and ignoring what other people ask of you. If you can't edit collaboratively with others, your time on this wiki is going to be short. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 16:21, 28 December 2024 (EST)

Delete account

This might be an odd request, but can u delete my account, as well as User:Transfan 1992 (a second account I was using in the past, but I've been unable to access for several years)? Freakertron (talk) 03:08, 25 January 2025 (EST)

Accounts can't be deleted, but I will be indefinitely blocking both, per your request. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 12:45, 25 January 2025 (EST)

Windcharger's Variant

Windcharger's first release had a shorter abdomen than his second release when comparing him and his Rub symbol counterpart, how ever there are versions with the longer abdomen that retain the regular Autobot insignia on the hood of the car mode. There is even more evidence suggesting this through the trademark stamp located on the back of his leg, Transformersland makes note of this trademark when listening his variants, this stamp indicates that it is in fact the late 1984 release. Furthermore I own that copy of the figure meaning that it is indeed a real thing making it necessary to have a mention in the first place. Please, I beg of you, to retain this mention in his page. Yours truly... -Windcharger

You say all this stuff, but I tried looking, and I can't find a single image of this supposed variant, nor any comparison to the original. Transformersland doesn't mention any changes to the figures abdomen on their page either. All I have to go on is your word, and that's frankly not enough. Unless you can provide photographic proof, it stays off the page. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 18:54, 1 February 2025 (EST)

Windcharger's Apology

Listen, I'm sorry that we got on the wrong foot. As you have guessed I am knew and don't really know how things, I did not know that this was a standard thing that the website does so I hope you understand the miscommunication that went off. I hope that this doesn't come into conflict in the future And I AM Really sorry if this effected you at all. I don't know if just confronted to you about it or anything but if he did I am sorry. I just wanted him to fact check it to see if wether I was going crazy or if there was just something that was conflicting with our research and all of that confusing stuff. I hope you can understand that I didn't mean any harm to you by any means, just a way to inform you what I was talking about. To be honest I don't blame you for the difficulties behind the findings of this topic, it's a super obscure observation. Thank you for putting in the effort it behind this and in case I haven't said it enough, I am terribly sorry and hope that This never happens again. Yours truly Windcharger

Hi, I was just wondering if it would possible to switch out the Earthspark and Legacy links on the main navigation sidebar for Cyberworld and Age of the Primes since they're both starting soon? - IGEBM13 (talk) 07:18, 2 March 2025 (EST)

It's too early. We're waiting for closer to release, especially since Legacy still has a few more toys to get out and Earthspark still has one more season from our understanding. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 10:33, 2 March 2025 (EST)
Should we wait until mid-late 2025?--CyclonustheWarrior (talk) 10:40, 2 March 2025 (EST)
I'm hanging on until at least the end of the month before swapping out Legacy for AOTP, and CyberWorld will probably be closer to June or July when it actually starts releasing. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 13:55, 2 March 2025 (EST)
Ah, got it. That makes sense lol - IGEBM13 (talk) 17:00, 2 March 2025 (EST)

Thanks, man!

I saw you helped me out with the picture of Sizzle and Jolt from the Life of Sideswipe (size, copyright, file size) I'm getting to know how this place works, so people like you help a lot in seeing how I'm meant to do stuff. If you could teach me more and help me find a real, necessary change we (as in everyone) gotta make to this place, it would be greatly appreciated! Again, thanks man!
