New Friday
New Friday is a creator owned[1] imprint of the Canadian comic book publisher Lev Gleason Publications. Originally launched by Lev Gleason in the 1940s, it was revived by Fadi Hakim in 2021, along with Comic House, for creator-owned and controlled indie comics and graphic novels.[2]
In 2022, Fahmida Azim and Anthony Del Col won the Pulitzer Prize for illustrated reporting, for using graphic reportage and the comics medium to tell a powerful yet intimate story of the Chinese oppression of the Uyghurs, making the issue accessible to a wider public.[3]
There is currently a live-action film planned of The Pursuer. It will be produced by Lev Gleason Studios and Soup du Jour Productions. Written by Boris Rodriguez and produced by Elisabeth Williams.[4]
A live-action adaption of Red Leaves is in development with Audrey Cummings and starring Kris Holden-Ried. It will be produced by Lev Gleason Studios, Scythia Films and Good Question Media.
