Doctors Without Borders: International president Christos Christou meets with Jean Asselborn in Luxembourg

The meeting revolved around cooperation and the Samos refugee camp, among other matters.
Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Jean Asselborn and Dr Christou met on Monday to discuss ongoing efforts in terms of humanitarian missions in Afghanistan, Libya, the Mediterranean, as well as the refugee hotspots in Greece. Especially the Samos camp is still a cause for concern, MSF officials noted during the meeting.
On Thursday, Dr Christou is therefore set to also meet with Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs Franz Fayot. Central issues will be the so-called Covax programme, which centralises a Covid-19 vaccine exchange, as well as other forms of humanitarian aid in African conflict zones.
