"Its been over a year since I started studying Thai at TSL. Started with book 1, get through R&W 3 levels, and now I am at Book 11. Every level I did, I studied with kru Ang and hope to continue my studying journey with her. She has a teaching style that suits my learning preference. Especially I like when she finds funny articles, stories, tik toks or videos which have a "speaking" style. We read it together and discuss it in class. It helps to get used to more spoken Thai also.

"I am very happy with my experience at TSL Chiang Mai. I have attended a few Thai language schools in the area and this one is by far the most legit.

The teachers and staff are amazing and you can tell they truly care about the students and their experience. I think the curriculum is put together in a way that you will be learning very useful words and phrases that you can use in everyday situations.

What makes this school stand out is the Saturday activities. We often take trips around Chiang Mai and to neighboring cities to visit temples, museums and try new foods as well as learn about Thai culture. As for the E.D Visa, I was amazed at how much help I got from the school to get mine. It can be a tough process to do on your own but with the help from the staff it was a breeze and I didn't have any issues from immigration.

Lastly I would like to compliment the owner of the school who has always been available anytime I have had any questions or if I had an issue. He always attends every Saturday activity and you can tell he cares about the students that attend his school and their experience aswell."

"I've been studying in TSL for over a year and enjoy it a lot. The staff crew is exceptional, very friendly and helpful in all the visa-related bureaucracy. The pace of study feels comfortable, both not too hardcore so it doesn't disrupt your slow living in Chiang Mai but also intense enough that you constantly feel the progress. The schedule, especially at the lower levels, is very adjustable, with joining by Zoom always being an option. What you'd really like to attend in person tho are the Thai Culture classes where the teachers share the slices of culture they're familiar with be it cooking some specific Thai dish or a trip to some village you would probably never discover alone. And last but not least there are students from all around the world in TSL so it's also a great place to get some extra cultural exchange and practice other languages with those who speak them natively."

"I joined TSL's 1 year education visa course 9 months ago with a little rough and ready Thai under my belt that I had gathered while teaching English in Chiang Mai. Studying with TSL has been a joy right from the start. All levels are catered for and I feel that during my time here, my basic ability has become more polished and I am more able to understand the Thai people that I meet around Chiang Mai.

Kru Ang, my teacher throughout, has a style that suits my learning preference. She pushed the class through the basics and then dragged us across the hot coals of reading and writing, and onward to the complexities of sentence structuring. I never believed I would be able to understand Thai text to the extent that she has made possible, and her willingness to share ordinary phrases and colorful expressions continues to add to my understanding and enjoyment of common Thai. The culture class is not only informative and fun, but is also a social event. I am now proficient at making somtam, carving fruit and parading through the streets while playing the symbols at an annoyingly loud volume, thanks to this weekly class.
