Fox Fall Premiere Plan: Return Dates for Empire, Scream Queens and More

Fox is the latest broadcast net to unveil its Fall rollout plan, and the network will kick off the 2016-2017 TV season the week of Sept. 19 with Monday one-two punch Gotham and Lucifer.

Fox’s biggest hit, Empire, returns Wednesday, Sept. 21 (following the premiere of Lethal Weapon). The network’s press release included the following spoilery nugget about Season 3: “Lucious sets his sights on a new streaming service and Cookie pursues a new romantic interest.”

As we previously reported, buzzy new baseball drama Pitch will now debut this fall (Thursday, Sept. 22 to be exact), pushing Bones‘ final season to early 2017.
