Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart 2: Friends of the Snow-Laden Sky

Futari wa Pretty Cure MaX Heart 2: Friends of the Snow-Laden Sky is the 2nd Pretty Cure movie, the second movie based on Futari wa Pretty Cure MaX Heart, and the sequel to Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart: The Movie. It released in theatres on December 10th, 2005.

On a trip to a skiing resort, Hikari meets a baby chicken, whom she names Hinata. Meanwhile, two ice themed villains from the Dotsuku Zone, Freezen and Frozen, awaken to rid the world of all warmth.

In the line-up of Pretty Cure movies, it is preceded by Max Heart: The Movie and followed by Futari Wa Pretty Cure Splash Star Tic Tac Crisis Hanging By A Thin Thread.

Tropes:

• Amusing Injuries: Hinata biting Nagisa is played as a joke after trying to give the bird some embarassing names.
• An Ice Person: In addition to literally being made of ice, Freezen and Frozen can freeze over large areas of land with no issue.
• The Cameo: Saki Shimizu from Berryz Kobo and Mari Yaguchi make a brief cameo as a pair of skiiers, but this might have been because Berryz Kobo did the film's ending theme and Yaguchi's song appears as a b-side on the single.
• Embarrassing Nickname: Nagisa comes up with multiple silly names for Hinata, such as Blanket and Heater.
• False Friend: Discussed; Shiho and Rina state that if Nagisa and Honoka's friendship ends due to their fight with each other, they were never genuinely friends at all if something that small would end it. Naturally, the two were able to make up with Nagisa outright calling Freezen and Frozen this, because despite their boast of being the strongest combo together they quickly blame each other when things go wrong.
• Feud Episode: Cure Black and Cure White briefly engage in a fight against each other. This was frightening enough for the target audience that subsequent seasons and movies would steer away from pitting Cures against each other like this.
• Fighting Your Friend: This happens between Cure Black and Cure White after Frozun and Freezun brainwash them.
• Gratuitous English: Hinata's bib has her name written in English on it.
• Meaningful Name: Hikari names the baby bird Hinata because the name symbolizes warmth.
