Ed Wynn (born Isaiah Edwin Leopold; November 9, 1886 – June 19, 1966) was an American actor and comedian whose career lasted for six decades and encompassed vaudeville, the Broadway stage, film, radio, and television.
He received an Academy Award nomination for his supporting role in the Holocaust drama The Diary of Anne Frank, and had memorable appearances in a number of Disney films including Alice in Wonderland (1951), Mary Poppins, and Babes in Toyland.
He was married three times and had one child, actor Keenan Wynn.
Wynn died in 1966 at the age of 79 from esophageal cancer.
