Eon Productions (Creator)

Eon Productions Ltd. is a London-based motion picture production company founded in 1961 by American producer Albert R. "Cubby" Broccoli and Canadian producer Harry Saltzman, and is part of the Danjaq, LLC holding. A closely owned public and family corporation, it mainly produces the long-running James Bond film series, with most of the films having scenes filmed at Pinewood Studios.

Cubby Broccoli chose the name "EON" because it is the acronym for "Everything Or Nothing" — the cost of acquiring the rights to Ian Fleming's James Bond novels would have bankrupted him had the first film flopped. Saltzman left the company in 1975 out of financial and health issues. Barbara Broccoli (daughter of Cubby) and her half-brother Michael G. Wilson became its heads in 1995, after Cubby stepped down due to his declining health and eventual passing in 1996.

In February 2025, creative control of the Bond franchise was handed over to Amazon MGM Studios by Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. Wilson retired and Broccoli went on to dedicate herself to other projects.
