The Bulls And The Lion
- ️Sat Aug 17 2024
"Bulls and the lion" is one of Aesop's Fables.
A lion had been watching some bulls grazing. He had tried to hunt them, but they always stayed together and helped each other to drive him off. Then one day the bulls had a quarrel, and when the hungry lion came he saw them in separate corners of the field, as far away from one another as they could get. It was now easy for the lion to attack one at a time, and the lion happyily left with a full stomach.
Tropes:
- Canon Foreigner: Some versions introduce a fox who helps the lion.
- Cunning Like a Fox: Some versions have a fox who makes the bulls have a quarrel and be separated, so the lion can easily hunt one at a time.
- Nameless Narrative: No one has a name.
- The Noun and the Noun: It is called "bulls and the lion".
