Character Tropes 

Stock characters who are either typically (in)famous themselves or are deeply connected to fame and celebrity.


  • Big Man on Campus: The high school/college version of The Ace, admired by everyone (or nearly everyone).
  • Boy Band: A music group of (predominantly) adolescent boys who have lots of fangirls and can sing.
  • Celebrity Superhero: A superhero who's famous for their superheroism.
  • Class Princess: A pretty, super popular girl at school who's kind and friendly to everyone, even dorks and outcasts.
  • The Diva: A sassy, self-confident, Lovable Alpha Bitch of a famous person.
  • Eccentric Artist: An artist known for their quirkiness
  • Eccentric Fashion Designer: An incredibly quirky fashion designer who makes and breaks trends and fads.
  • Evil Diva: An Always Female famous singer who's evil and typically became famous through Mind-Control Music.
  • Folk Hero: A hero who is well-known from stories, and may not exist. If they do exist, the stories exaggerate them a lot.
  • Girl Group: A musical group comprised entirely of girls, essentially the distaff counterpart to boy bands.
  • Idol Singer: A young, cute girl sings and dances to pop music, and is adored throughout Japan.
  • Living Legend: A person who is very famous for their actions and is still alive.
  • One-Hit Wonder: Somebody, mainly a music artist, only known for one major success.
  • Paparazzi: A media worker (most often a photographer) who will go to any lengths to get a story about someone, no matter how underhanded their methods or how life-ruining the story may be.
  • The Prima Donna: An overbearing, egotistical entertainer.
  • Reclusive Artist: A creator that is seldom seen or heard about in public, so their work is pretty much all you know about them.
  • The Rock Star: A famous rock musician often portrayed as the epitome of cool.
  • School Idol: A character who's the single most popular student at their school.
  • Socialite: A young, attractive woman (sometimes man) who indulges in elite pleasures and a patrician lifestyle.
  • Social Climber: Someone who will do anything, no matter how terrible, to become popular.
  • Straw Critic: An obnoxiously subjective critic with a tendency to Accentuate the Negative.
  • Teen Idol: An entertainer who is idolized by teenagers, preteens, and young adults.
  • White-Dwarf Starlet: An old woman who was famous in her youth and wants to be still famous.
