I could be the one to make you trope that way, I could be the one to set you free:
- All Just a Dream: The music video for "Toulouse" ends this way, with the guy in the bus stop waking up looking at the man from before, now unmasked, looking at him. When he leaves the bus stop, the other man mysteriously wears a Guy Fawkes mask, leaving to this trope being zigzagged.
- Future Funk: His song "Future Funk" with Nile Rodgers subverts this as it does not have a vaporwave influence, but regardless it still has influences from funk music given that Chic's main guitarist is featured in it.
- Holy Water: The singer in "Take Me" wants to be bathed in such to avoid temptation from the devil.
- Iconic Outfit: The man with the gold and black hoodie and Guy Fawkes mask in "Toulouse". When the music video for its 2020 edit came out, people who are familiar with the original instantly recognized the outfit.
- Malevolent Masked Men: "Toulouse" revolves around a person wearing a Guy Fawkes mask who "brainwash" random passengers in the streets, including the man in the bus stop who is probably the music video's main character. Eventually, the group of masked people becomes larger that near the end of the video, they can be seen approaching a random person in a train station, surrounding him.
- Silly Love Songs: Some of his songs, such as "Lighthouse" and "Legacy" (with Krewella)
- With Lyrics: Originally an instrumental, "Toulouse" has a vocal edit with vocals from Bobby Anthony.
