Toms Burkovskis (born September 10, 1992), professionally known as Tobu and sometimes 7obu, is a Latvian musician who primarily produces progressive house tracks. He is known for many of his tracks released on NoCopyrightSounds that are featured in YouTube videos.
Although he started making and releasing music in 2012, even having one of his tracks promoted by NCS in 2013, he would start to become popular in 2014, where he released his debut NCS single, "Seven". Since then, he would release more tracks on the label, with some of them gaining high amounts of views such as "Hope", "Colors", and "Infectious". Tobu has also made several collaborations with Dutch musician Itro even before he began his NCS career. Two of his most popular songs, "Cloud 9" and "Sunburst", are collaborations with Itro.
Tobu would go on and become one of NCS' most well-known artists due to having many of his songs used in various YouTube videos. However, things took a turn in 2023 when his NCS releases from 2014 to 2015 were removed from the label due to Tobu refusing to renew his contract with the label. In the same year, he hosted a remix contest for "Candyland", and the best remixes would be put in an album.
