- Cat Girl: Alex gets turned into a half-human half-cat after being scratched by the cat-obsessed professor Feline Dion, who turned herself into a cat girl.
- No Celebrities Were Harmed: Feline Dion, the cat-obsessed scientist, is a thinly-veiled Celine Dion.
- Transformation Conventions: The two times one of the girls has been turned into a half-human hybrid, she has become a Cat Girl; Clover in "Wild Style" and Alex in this episode. The reason is not only that cats are animals associated with feminity (something each member of the trio has in spades) but also that they are spies. Spies, like cats, must be stealthy, graceful, and agile.
