Peter Pan: The Legend of Never Land is an Action-Adventure game based on Peter Pan (1953) and released as a tie-in to Return To Never Land. It was developed by Blue 52 and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 2 in 2002.
Captain James Hook found out the secret to Neverland's magic and plots to rid the island of its enchanting Pixie dust. To make matters worse, he also had his crew kidnap the Lost Boys. It's up to Peter Pan to save the day.
This game provides examples of:
- Attack Its Weak Point: Bill Jukes' weak point is his leg.
- Big Bad: Hook, as usual, is the main villain.
- Bullfight Boss: Chargy Bargy constantly charges at you during his boss battle.
- Collapsing Ceiling Boss: Whenever Chargy Bargy hits a wall during his boss battle, he causes stalactites to fall down from the ceiling.
- Exit, Pursued by a Bear: In the ending cutscene, Hook ends up being chased around by the crocodile.
- Game-Over Man: Got a game over? Hook will laugh and say that you're "fish food".
- It's a Wonderful Failure: The game over scene will show Hook with Neverland's map (which shows the Game Over text), meaning that Hook is ready to get rid of Neverland's magic without Peter to stop him.
- Spikes of Doom: Spikes appear as obstacles in Underground Levels.
- Tennis Boss: Hook throws his sword at you during the final boss fight, and you have to fling it back at him.
- Underground Level: The Creepy Caves levels are set underground.
- Wake-Up Call Boss: Bill Jukes is the first boss of the game, and his boss fight tests your skill of the gameplay.
