The Almost Valentinesly Object Show (Web Animation)

Finding love in the battlefield of cutthroat competition.

The Almost Valentinesly Object Show is a yearly Valentine's day-themed Object Show created by Towno (Object Redundancy and the object camp Camp Evil) and was released on 16th February 2022.

Feeling sick and tired of being alone on Valentine's Day once again, Bean Bag ropes eight objects from the grocery store into participating in his competition show. The winner will have the honor of being his potential girlfriend (or boyfriend, he's not picky).

The first episode can be viewed here.

Fall in love with the following tropes:

  • A Dog Named "Dog": In theme with the show, the characters are things associated with Valentine's day (Except for Bean Bag) and are named as such.
  • Animate Inanimate Object: Think The Bachelor but with anthropomorphic objects and a more diverse cast.
  • Anthropomorphic Food: It's unhealthy eating a Box of Chocolates and drink Cheap Chardonnay, especially when they are alive.
  • Armless Biped: One of very few object shows that advert this trope.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: The contestants are sentient objects that can be found on Valentine's Day or are related to romance with the girls being things you may give on dates (Box of Chocolates, Cheap Chardonnay, Flower Bouquet and Valentine's Card), the guys are the realistic aspects (Actual Real Heart, Divorce Papers and Restraining Order) and Love Lock is a gesture couples do to symbolize their unbreakable love.
  • Non-Gameplay Elimination:
    • Bean Bag is forced to disqualify Box of Chocolates as a potential suitor once she reveals her true colours as a demented, love-obsessed sicko and becomes too much to handle, though she is allowed to rejoin two episodes later.
    • Divorce Papers leaves the show during the two years between the first and second episodes out of boredom. In that time period, he meets his new fiancée, Engagement Ring, on a dating app.
  • Offscreen Inertia: Averted; the episodes take place in real time, and things have happened in the two years between episodes 1 and 2.
  • Straight Gay: Actual Real Heart and Restraining Order are willingly participating in Bean Bag's competition to be his boyfriend. Both show no stereotypes whatsoever.
  • Minimalist Cast: The only characters to appear are Bean Bag and his 8 contestants/suitors.
