Notes on event | At 07.28 hours on 23 Nov 1942, U-601 fired a spread of three torpedoes at the Kuznets Lesov (Master V.A. Tsibul’kin), which was straggling from convoy QP-15 after a heavy storm. The ship was hit in the forepart with one torpedo and sank within four minutes. The master, 31 crew members and nine gunners were lost. |
