Abstract

The most complete phylogeny to date for the Charadrius plovers (29 of 30 species). Verification of two major Charadrius clades. Thinornis, Eudromias and Anarhynchus species supported within the genus Charadrius. Evidence that major clades originated in the Northern hemisphere.
