Outer Critic Circle Awards 2015 (FULL LIST): ‘Curious Incident’ Wins Big

Tony contender “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” led the Outer Critics Circle Awards, taking five statues including the honor for Broadway play. Broadway musical “An American in Paris,” one of the leaders of the pack of Tony nominees, took four including the award for new Broadway musical, while Off Broadway awards-magnet “Hamilton” and Broadway revival “The King and I” took three apiece.
Recent Pulitzer Prize winner “Between Riverside and Crazy” claimed the crown for new Off Broadway play. Both “Riverside” and “Hamilton” took the top honors from the New York Drama Critics Circle last week, and last night both titles took multiple awards at Off Broadway’s Lucille Lortel Awards.
Helen Mirren (“The Audience”), Kristen Chenoweth (“On the 20th Century”), Robert Fairchild (“An American in Paris”), Alex Sharp (“Curious Incident”), Richard McCabe (“The Audience”), Annaleigh Ashford (“You Can’t Take it With You”), Ruthie Ann Miles (“King and I”) and Andy Karl (“On the 20th Century”) — all Tony nominees — took home acting awards.
Awards, voted on by a group of journalists who cover New York theater for outlets based outside of New York, will be handed out May 21 at a ceremony at Sardi’s.
