Yet another story with a love triangle styled much after his recent hit "Mavichiguru", is Egire Pavurama by S.V. Krishna Reddy under the banner, Chandra Kiran.

Jyothi (Laila), who is fond of music loses her mother as a child. To protect her from her drunkard father, her uncle Siva (Chakravarthi) leaves her in the care of Yasodamma (Suhasini). Siva who plans to marry Jyothi works hard and puts a large portion of his income in savings for their future home.

Jyothi watches a music concert by Junior Balu (Srikanth) and is all appreciation and at once fall in love with him. Balu makes an appearence at Yasodamma's house as a carpenter this time and gets taunted by Jyothi. Srikant confides with regret to Jyothi that he had to switch professions for, with music as a vocation he could not support his family. Jyothi repents for insulting Balu. Upon realising his plight they declare their love for each other.

Meanwhile, Yasodamma's husband (Charanraj) returns from Dubai. He makes advances to Jyothi. To protect Jyothi from his evil intentions, Yasodamma sends her away to Siva and asks him to hasten up his marriage plans. Jyothi professes her love for Balu and declares her intentions to marry him to Siva. Siva confronts Balu and is upset with him. Siva's mother (Nirmala) pleads with Balu to forget Jyothi and leave the village. A remorseful Jyothi attempts suicide upon Balu's refusal to marry her. With Siva coming to Jyothi's rescue, the movie concludes with a marriage being solemnised between Jyothi and Balu.
