REVIEWS
A movie with a child sentiment from the Usha Kiron stable is, "Deevinchandi" with Srikanth and Raasi in the lead under Muthyala Subbaiah's direction. The movie has all the makings of a flop and is sure to test the patience of the audience.

Siva and Lakshmi leave for yet another town to avoid further ignominy. On the way, while Siva is away to fetch some water at a railway station, Satheesh attempts to rape Lakshmi. Siva who comes to rescue Lakshmi ends up killing Satheesh. Keerthi Raju (Narra), a railway police inspector who is an eye witness to the murder arrests Siva. Lorry Cleaner (Brahmanandam) with Siva gives shelter to a pregnant Lakshmi.
One fine day, Swetha (Malavika, Lakshmi's sister), finds Lakshmi in a state of agony and admits her to a hospital. Lakshmi dies after giving birth to a baby boy. Swetha brings up the child as her own. Upon Siva's release from the jail, Swetha marries him with the idea of giving the child both parents. But Swetha does not change her opinion about Siva being responsible for her family's woes. Later, she comes to know from Keerthi Raju that Siva did not kill Satheesh and that Lakshmi killed him. Siva took the blame upon himself and suffered the punishment only to spare a pregnant Lakshmi. Swetha has a change of heart, and drops her idea of divorcing Siva and take custody of the child.
Muthyala Subbaiah who is adept at direction and good choice of stories seems to have utterly failed on both counts. Siva who rescues Lakshmi from Satheesh fails to return her to her family immediately and the director doesn't seem to think it is necessary to explain where she spent the night. Current times have shown that the actors and the actresses excel in movies regardless of the director and provide entertainment, but this movie fails on that count. The outdated sentiment too seems totally unwarranted. The audience will not be impressed with it. Not much can be said of the cast either. Music by SA Rajkumar is not up to the mark.
