Börtzells, Stockholm 1911. The English vintage edition. Very rare original poster in excellent condition, [never been folded, backed or restored] vivid colours. Swedens most famous poster.
The first official illustrated poster in Olympic history. It depicted an athlete representing Sweden in flag procession. Despite some strategically placed streamers, the poster was considered too daring to be distributed in some countries. This wonderfully image was created in 1911 by Olle Hjortsberg he was a professor and then director at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm.
