Every year there are a series of 'Mods' in Scotland. Mods are festivals
which celebrate Gaelic culture through traditional music and arts. The
largest of the Mods takes place in October in a different town each year.
It's affectionately known as the 'Whisky Olympics'.

The relationship between the arts and religion has never been easy. The islands are predominately Presbyterian and they hold that making music and dancing is sinful, especially on the Sabbath.
