DePatie-Freleng Website
DePatie-Freleng was founded by director Isadore "Friz" Freleng and producer David Hudson DePatie in early 1960s, when Warner Brothers shut down their animation department in 1963. DePatie-Freleng (often abbreviated DFE, because of their logo) became noted when they created an animated opening for Blake Edwards' film "The Pink Panther" starring Peter Sellers. The animated opening (directed by Hawley Pratt) was even more successful than the film itself, and United Artists (which previously released Walter Lantz and Disney shorts) signed in with DFE to produce theatrical shorts for theaters. Despite the short film business dying during this time, their cartoons was successful. The studio also made Saturday Morning shows, notable ones including "Here Comes the Grump" and "Misterjaw".
The purpose of this website is to give many information on the studio as possible, with rare cartoon clips and pictures. The main part of the site is the filmography, which contains title-cards and credits on almost all DFE theatricals produced for United Artists during the studio's theatrical run, along with their TV specials and their shows.

NEWS and UPDATES May 29, 2005 - New cartoon of the month. This time, it's a "Here Comes the Grump" episode. The Grump Meets the Grouch Grooch (1969) Now, because the file is so large (about 105 MB), and I don't want GAC's server to overload with bandwith, I decided to use bitTorrent. So, you'll need to have bit Torrent installed to download this file. To get one, just search for "bit torrent" in Google or other search engines, and you should find one easily. This is a MPEG file. To give respect for other people downloading this, please leave the torrent window open as long as possible. Thank you. May 20, 2005 - A page devoted to Tijuana Toads has been added. Meanwhile, I'm taking a break with the filmography, since I did nothing but update that for a while. I might add more stuff later, so stick around.
