Narva culture

Narva culture (4th millennium B.C.) was spread in the east Baltic sea area approximately from the former East Prussia and Lithuania to the Northern Estonia and North Western Russia. The inhabitants of Narva culture were the Europeans, descendants of the earlier Kunda culture (7th millennium B.C.). The northern part of Narva culture was settled later by Finno - Ugrian tribes in the middle of the 3rd millennium B.C., while the southern part - by Indo - Europeans, supposedly ancestors of Ancient Balts in the end of the 3rd - beginning of the 2nd millennium B.C.

Narva culture was ane of the elements of formation of the Balts and Baltic Finns.
