Freeduino Open Source Hardware

Freeduino is a collaborative open-source project to replicate and publish Arduino-compatible hardware files. The Freeduino Eagle SCH, BRD and Gerber production files allow users to create boards that are 100% functionally, electrically and physically compatible with Arduino hardware. Additionally, while Arduino is a protected trademark, Freeduino comes with a free and unrestricted license to use the Freeduino name, available for any use.

Freeduino currently conisits of a Diecimilia-equivalent schematic and 0603, 0805, 1206 and through-hole routed board files. The idea here is to make available the Eagle files you would need to make your own Freeduino variant board.

	Freeduino is directly derived from the Creative-Commons 2.5 licensed Arduino reference design. See the schematic file for attribution information. Freeduino is licensed for any use ( hobbyist, commercial, non-profit, etc.) under Creative Commons 2.5. The Freeduino name is not a registered trademark, but we encourage you to use it in any case. The more the name is used, the more it becomes 'genericized'.
V1.16	Protoype run of version 1.16 Complete package: Eagle PCB files and Gerber files for the 0603, 0805, 1206 and TH prototype run version 1.16 These designs have been confirmed working. 	Through-hole component version (easiest to assemble!) This is actually a modification of the Arduino 2.1 USB design, made to be Diecimilia compatible and branded with the Freeduino name.
