With an island-wide reach, more and more international and local publishers are now leveraging on Walter Agency as a choice distributor for their products. To this day, Chuang Yi continues to grow from strength to strength, extending the joy of reading to local markets and beyond our shores.

1985 - 1990 Chuang Yi Publishing Pte Ltd is established.
1992 The overwhelming reception to Dragonball , one of the company's maiden publications becomes a crucial milestone, giving the company a definite direction for its future publication plans.
1993 Chuang Yi begins rapid expansion of its range of comics, securing more licensing contracts with major Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japanese publishing houses to produce several of their best-selling titles locally.
1995 Chuang Yi sets up its first branch office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, subsequently launching the Ultraman and Rockman manga series in Malay.
1997 The phenomenal success of Inoue Takehiko's Slam Dunk culminates with Mr. Takehiko gracing the annual Singapore Book Fair as a guest of honour, generating a huge buzz in the local manga scene and gaining this medium more fans and supporters.
1998-1999 Chuang Yi publishes its first TV-drama-to-comic adaptations Dong You Ji (Legend of the Eight Immortals) and Liang Po Po in collaboration with local TV station Mediacorp.
2000 Following the Pokémon craze, Chuang Yi expands into the English market with the launch of its Pokémon series. Young Guns and Lu Ding Ji (The Duke of Deer Mountain) is serialised in several local newspapers periodicals which help further promote manga reading.
2001 Chuang Yi launches the first International English version of The Birth of i-mode -- the story behind Japan's revolutionary technical innovation for mobile phones as seen though the eyes of one of its creators, Mari Matsunaga.
2002 Beyblade becomes the newest international craze rivalling that of Pokémon . The launch of Beyblade and Beyblade Spin-Up Guidebook is a phenomenal success.
2003 Chuang Yi secures licensing rights to distribute its manga to overseas territories Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines.
2004 Chuang Yi branches into the magazine market, securing licenses with powerhouses Disney ( W.I.T.C.H., Monsters Allergy, Disney's Princess ) and Rainbow S.r.l . ( Winx Club ) to publish and distribute their best selling magazine titles in Singapore and Malaysia. Walter Agency's distribution network penetrates the local convenient chain outlets (7-Eleven, Cheers).
2004 - 2005 Chuang Yi secures rights with Panini (Italy) and Topps UK to launch their range of Sticker Collectibles.
2006 Chuang Yi launches Beyblade in India. Walter Agency secures new distribution channel to introduce Chuang Yi publications into local schools and institutions.
2007 Chuang Yi secures rights to develop a range of stationary merchandise for Pokémon and Disney's/Pixar's Ratatouille. Walter Agency appointed exclusive distributor of DC Comics and Marvel Comics (Asian Edition) in Singapore and Malaysia. Walter Agency appointed exclusive distributor for Australia's largest publisher, Funtastic Ltd. to distribute their publications in Singapore and Malaysia.
