Tick Prevention Week, 6-12 April 2009

As the weather gets warmer, it’s time once again to protect yourself against ticks. Climate change has made the incidence of Lyme disease eight times more prevalent in Scotland since just 2001, so it’s important to take preventative measures. These can become regular habits, just like putting on your seatbelt. For example:

- Wear suitable clothing

- Keep your dogs tick-free - Check your clothes for ticks to ensure you don’t bring ticks indoors For more on these tips, plus many others, see:
