Maria Mitchell Association | Facilities

The Maria Mitchell Association owns and operates two observatories, an aquarium, a natural science museum, an historic house, and archives and special collections in our research library.

Our properties serve as active research centers, housing for scientific collections, and forums for public education programs. All facilities are located either in town or within walking distance of town. Whether you are a year-round resident or visiting Nantucket for a day, you can enjoy all that MMA has to offer.

In addition to public open hours, tours, and programs, many of our properties are also available for private functions. We offer fun, educational, themed birthday parties complete with programming and also rental use of our other facilities for other occasions where you want to make an impression.
