- Aliah University launches the following academic programmes for the session 2010-11:
1. 5-yr integrated M.Sc. in (a) Computer Sc., (b) Chemistry (with specialization in Medicinal Chemistry), (c) Physics (with specialization in Engineering Physics), (d) Mathematics & Computing, (e) Statistics & Informatics, (f) Economics, and (g) Geography;
2. 5-yr integrated M.A. in (a) Arabic and (b) English ;
3. 4-yr B.Tech. / Dual-Degree M.Tech. (Computer Sc. & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering).
- The Publication Section of the University has reprinted the book "The Man Behind the Plough" by Sir M. Azizul Hoque in the month July 2009.
- The Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, who is also the Minister-in-Charge, Departmant of Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education, inaugurated the Skill Development Programmes of the Centre for Vocational Studies, Aliah University, on 13th August 2009 at Science City Auditorium, in presence of Dr. Abdus Sattar, the Hon'ble Minister-of-State of the same department, Mr. Abdur Rezzak Mollah, the Hon'ble Minister-in-Charge, Department of Land and Land Reforms..
