Pretty good show, but needs improvement

When I first heard of Adventure Time, I was rather excited. I thought it sounded cool that CN was going back to doing what they did best and create unique original cartoons. After seeing a few episodes, I thought the show wasn't too bad, but it needs some work done. The premise is that a boy named Finn and his... more dog, Jake, go out and do adventures, save princesses, and fight evil kings and monsters. Story wise, the show sounds generic and uninteresting, but it actually has some new things added to it. The artwork and animation looks really good; characters designs look original, the animation is smooth, and there are plenty of things in each scene that will catch your eye. The episodes themselves are original and are pretty interesting to watch. The various creatures in this show are also interesting to see and there is a variety of them. Where the show starts to fall apart though is the humor. While there are some funny moments here and there, there really aren't that many humorous moments in the show. The voice acting needs a little work as well, there are just some characters that don't sound like who they are supposed to be. Then in some episodes, they are episodes I have seen on TV already and aren't that interesting. Adventure Time, while it is a pretty good show, needs improvements, but considering all the rest of the bad shows they show on CN and Nickelodeon, I will watch this show. Bottom line, a good show, but it needs some improvements here and there.
