Imogen Listening Chair was in the foyer of the Royal Festival Hall during the weekend of 16 – 17 June 2012, and was used to crowdsource material to inspire a new song, ‘You Know Where To Find Me’.
Immi wrote the beginnings of the song during her time aboard the boat and then performed the piece so far, in a surprise live show for the audience watching the stream on live relay in Southbank Centre.
After her Gloves performance at TEDGlobal, Imogen spent the weekend shooting the video to ‘You Know Where To Find Me’ (Heapsong7) in fans houses in/around Edinburgh.
She even wore the clothes of the people who’s houses she visited, in this case a chap called Archie’s tweet jacket and flat cap!
The Scotsman was on hand to find out what happened, check out their article here.
On Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd June Imogen will take part in ‘A Room for London’ – spending time in a Boat perched on top of Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall on the River Thames in London.
Whilst in residence she will compose a new Heapsong entitled ‘You Know Where To Find Me’ about the River Thames and will perform live on a big screen nearby as well as online.
Imogen’s live performance takes place from 7pm BST on 22nd June and can be watched live at www.aroomforlondon.co.uk and on screens in the Clore Ballroom at the Southbank Centre.

Imogen spent last weekend at the Royal Festival Hall, talking to people, discussing the Thames and what it meant to them – some of those people recorded their thoughts in The Listening Chair. Watch the responses here.
James Bridle’s part of A Room For London sees him taking the weather conditions at the QEH and mapping the boat’s location in the world as if it were just adrift.. See where the boat is here.
