Review Summary

T.R. Sundaram directs this first-ever sound film in the Malayalam language and his debut film for the powerful Modern Theater studios. The film centers on a pair of sibling orphans, Balan and his younger sister, who are abused and exploited by a villainous stepmother who also connives to take over the family estate of her weak-willed husband. The two children are ultimately rescued from her evil clutches by a pure-hearted lawyer.
