What It Really Is: The greatest western of all time. Gene Hackman as the sadistic sheriff Little Bill and Morgan Freeman as Muny’s old pal along for the ride perfectly compliment Eastwood’s intensity. It’s got revenge, redemption, humor, violence and we never get tired of watching it.
