The pursuit of the knowledge of physics transcends national boundaries. Physicists worldwide share a common vision: to inspire and improve human lives through the knowledge of physics and its applications to human welfare. Through its Beijing office, AIP seeks to gain a better understanding of the Chinese physics community, improve communication between U.S. and Chinese physicists, and support the advancement of China's physical science enterprise. June 17, 2011—AIP celebrates first anniversary of its Beijing office with release of new Chinese-language website. See the press release. March 21, 2011—AIP enters into an agreement with Edanz Group Ltd, offering cost-effective language editing services to prospective Chinese authors to AIP journals. See the press release. February 11, 2011—AIP signs a partnership agreement with �the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics. Starting in 2012, AIP will begin to publish, on behalf of the society. June 17, 2010—Grand opening ceremony to officially mark the opening of AIP's new office in Beijing, China. Nearly 100 guests, representing China's scientific funding agencies, research universities, scientific associations, and high technology business community, attended the ceremony.
