ITB with new prelude
How easy is it to gain new customers through social networks? And what will marketing communications look like in the future? These and other questions about omni-channel marketing are the topics for the new ITB Summit, which will, for the first time, form the prelude to the travel and tourism fair, taking place one day earlier on March 4, 2014. As in previous years, the ITB Berlin will offer know-how, tips and trends from and for the sector at the collocated convention from March 5 to 8 at the world's largest trade conference. Transfairlog stays in Hamburg
The trade fair for international transport and logistics management, transfairlog, will in 2014 again be staged on the grounds of Hamburg Fair from November 4 to 6. During the three days of the event, the organiser, Munich's Euroexpo Messe- und Kongress, will offer everything relating to ocean and inland shipping, freight-forwarding services, and merchandise handling in containers and on pallets. Topics presented in the exhibition halls will also include operational equipment, warehouse optimisation, process control and shopfloor transport vehicles. 212 exhibitors and a total of 2,650 trade visitors attended the fair premiere in 2012. sos
Launched: Lab&Science; Nigeria
At the beginning of December, the sector association Spectaris launched the first German exhibition platform for the laboratory equipment industry in the shape of Lab&Science Nigeria in the West African country. Over 400 trade visitors attended the hotel exhibition in Lagos, Nigeria, gathering information and making contact at the stands of the 14 German exhibitors. According to Spectaris, Africa is a growth market for German manufacturers of analysis, biotechnology and laboratory equipment. Spectaris represents medium-sized companies in the German high-tech industry in the areas of optics, medicine and mechatronics. sos
