FLEXIBILITY and RELIABILITY: STRATEGIC TANKING THE NAVY/MARINE CORPS WAY!

Current Fleet of Aircraft

  • 2 x Boeing KC-707s (specially modified B-707s or former 707 operational tanker aircraft)
  • 1 x McDonnell Douglas KDC-10 (specially modified DC-10-40)

What does it cost the individual squadron to use Omega?

KDC-10 and K-707NOTHING-just pay for the gov't-priced gas you take!

The Omega tanker flying contract is administered by NAVAIRSYSCOM PMA 226. The tanker is funded for its flying hours using CNAF flying hours through PMA 226 to support Navy and Marine Corps Aviation. Thus, there is no direct cost to the military units for requesting and flying with Omega. All flights are approved by the Commercial Air Services Manager, the government representative.
