XXXTENTATION claims Drake stole his flow from ‘Look at me’ and used it in his song.
XXXTENTATION is a rapper and songwriter who’s real name is Jahsen Dwayne Onfroy. He has released 1 studio album and 2 collaborative albums which gained him a huge fan base. In October 2016, XXXTENTATION was arrested and charged with false imprisonment, witness tampering and the beating his pregnant girlfriend. His popular song ‘Look at me’ was a huge success peaking in at number 61 on Billboard Hot 100.

In January, Drake was on tour and coincidentally performed a song called (KMT) which caught the attention of XXXTENTATION and his camp. They thought Drake’s track sounded very similar to ‘Look at me’ because it had the same flow and rhythm. On 1/28/2017 XXXTENTATION’s team tweeted Kodak Black saying “ What’s up with this f%#@ nigga Drake bruh jit buggin like f%#@”. After the tweet went viral, rumors started to spread about the beef between a mogul and a newbie.
Shortly after he was released from prison on March 26th, XXXTENTATION went to Major Lazer radio to bad-mouth Drake saying “He put his verse on my song and the cadence is literally just at the same tempo. He’s not a man. I think he’s a b*tch. That’s a b$%#h move. Especially when I was in jail facing life. If Drake would have came to my bond hearing that would have made my f*ckin’ day. If he would have showed that he’s a hospitable person and that he’s really in this sh*t for the culture, rather than being a f***** and taking my shit and running off with it and putting it on his album, then he would have got my kudos and my respect. I would have let him hop on the remix.”

Perhaps XXXTENTATION should consider thanking Drake for favoring his song, being that Drake is the hottest rapper out right now topping the charts on Billboard’s 200, Having over 10 billion views on Spotify, and is the first rapper to have 2 dozen tracks at one time on Billboard Hot 100s. Drake has not addressed the issue as of yet.
