Welcome to another cracking edition of ARIA Chart Watch, our weekly wrap of the ARIA top 100 singles and albums charts.
There might not be change atop this week’s singles countdown, but there are a few new certifications to get through – in the top ten alone.
There is change, however, over atop the ARIA albums chart. But who’s nabbed No.1? Find out right here.

SINGLES
It four weeks on the fly for our latest home grown superstar, Tones And I. Her earworm ‘Dance Monkey’ is still atop the ARIA singles chart and leads a stationary Aussie top five.
But the track solidifies its position this week, achieving a fresh new double platinum certification, meaning it’s sold in excess of 140,000 units.
Also blasting through the double platinum barrier this week is Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s ‘Señorita’. It’s steady at No.2.
Steady at No.4 is Ed Sheeran and Khalid’s ‘Beautiful People’, but it too chalks up a fresh accreditation this week… platinum for sales of more than 70,000 units.
Blanco Brown’s ‘The Git Up’ hits platinum too, but also secures a new chart peak of No.6, shifting two spots higher.
It debuted strongly seven days ago at No.15. Now Lil Tecca’s ‘Ransom’ bullets into the ARIA top ten, jumping seven places to No.8.
Ariana Grande and Social House lose their grip on a top ten berth, sliding from No.7 to No.11 with ‘Boyfriend’.
Another fresh certification for Ed Sheeran follows. His former No.1 smash ‘I Don’t Care’ (featuring Justin Bieber) is down three places to No.14 this week, but it picks up a fresh triple platinum accreditation (210,000 copies) for its troubles.
And with her new album ‘Lover’ now in the stores, the title track from Taylor Swift’s latest premieres in the No.15 spot.
Tones And I is back to back in positions 20 and 21 with ‘Johnny Run Away’ and ‘Never Seen The Rain’. The former moving down, the latter moving up.
Miley Cyrus, meantime, slides into the ARIA countdown at No.22 with her latest single ‘Slide Away’.
Y2K and bbno$’ single ‘Lalala’ hits gold (35,000 unit sales) at No.23 and despite dropping four places from last week’s No.25 peak, Jessica Mauboy’s ‘Little Things’ has done enough during its nine week chart run to also achieve a gold certification.
More love for Ed Sheeran, with a gold award for his single ‘South Of The Border’ (with Camila Cabello and Cardi B). It’s down just two places to No.36.
It achieved a new peak of No.52 last week. Seven days on, Khalid’s ‘Right Back’ achieves another, bulleting another 11 places to now be within the ARIA top 50 (No.41 for the slow ones).
Katy Perry’s ‘Small Talk’ doesn’t have the desired effect in its second week. It’s down from a No.33 debut to No.45.
Normani scrapes into the ARIA top 50 on debut with ‘Motivation’ (No.47). Young Thug (with J Cole and Travis Scott) goes gold with ‘The London’.
Ed Sheeran’s ‘Antisocial’ (with Travis Scott) is SO antisocial, it doesn’t want to play with the rest of the top 50 kids anymore, dropping nine places to No.52. Though it will be playing with its gold accreditation from here on in.
The Chainsmokers and Bebe Rexha’s ‘Call You Mine’ is also down nine, to No.53.
We’ve got a No.57 debut for Jonas Brothers’ ‘Only Human’. We’ve got a fresh new sixth platinum accreditation for Marshmello and Bastille’s ‘Happier’ (420,000 unit sales). Khalid’s ‘Better’ is now five times platinum (350,000 unit sales) at No.67 and Taylor Swift’s ‘Me!’ (with Brendon Urie) is up 13 places to No.70 as excitement surrounding the release of the albums began to build.
Stormzy goes gold with ‘Vossy Bop’ (No.80), Chillinit debuts with ‘Freedom’ (no.87), but Taylor Swift’s ‘The Archer’ completely misses the target, plunging 22 places to No.88 (guess that’s not going to be a single in the future then).
Chris Brown goes gold with ‘Don’t Check On Me’ (and a little assistance from Justin Bieber) at No.89 (down nine).
James Arthur’s ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ is back in the ARIA countdown. The eleven times platinum certified former No.1 smash bobs its head back in at No.95.
Tyler The Creator’s ‘Earfquake’ is seemingly spending its final week in the ARIA top 100, dropping 15 to No.100.

ALBUMS
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard almost did what it took to claim their first ever No.1 album.
But they’re beaten to the punch by the one and only Ed Sheeran, whose ‘No.6 Collaborations Project’ re-takes top spot from Slipknot.
Slipknot’s album ‘We Are Not Your Kind’ was shining brightly in the No.1 position last weekend, but it’s down to No.3, leaving King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s ‘Infest The Rats’ Nest’ to claim the No.2 spot on debut.
But Killswitch Engage is also joining the ARIA party this week with their latest long player ‘Atonement’. It debuts in the No.4 position, giving the band their highest chart position yet down under.
Further down, the soundtrack to ‘Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ premieres at No.14.
The rest of the teens – and the 20s for that matter – see no really big moves. But in the 30s, we have a debut for Sleater-Kinney’s ‘The Center Won’t Hold’ at No.34, a No.25 to No.36 drop for Bazzi’s ‘Soul Searching’, a No.69 to No.37 bullet for the soundtrack to ‘Descendants 3’ and a top 100 re-entry for Tom Walker’s album ‘What A Time To Be Alive’ at No.39.
With Taylor Swift’s new album ‘Lover’ now available at retailers across the planet, its predecessor ‘Reputation’ is back into the ARIA top 50, leaping 16 places to No.41.
Tool’s ‘Aenima’ is down from No.33 to No.44, Thelma Plum’s ‘Better In Blak’ is up from No.66 to No.45 and Taylor Swift’s diamond-selling ‘1989’ is back into the top 50, jumping 13 places to No.49.
Also on the way up this week is Bruce Springsteen’s former No.1 album ‘Western Stars’ (up 31 to No.52). Illenium’s ‘Ascend’ is new at No.54. But the news is less good for Bon Iver, whose new album ‘i,i’ plunges 47 places from last week’s No.8 debut and is now at No.55.
Also plummeting this week is the Seeker Lover Keeper album ‘Wild Seeds’, which slumps from its No.14 debut to No.58, a loss of 44 positions.
There’s a drop for Tool’s ‘Lateralus’ too. It’s down from No.38 to No.61.
We’ve got a debut at No.64 for Press Club’s ‘Wasted Energy’ and there’s another at No.70 for A$AP Ferg’s ‘Floor Seats’. Ride’s ‘This Is Not A Safe Place’ is also a new entry this week… at No.78.
But the drops also continue. Tool’s ‘10,000 Days’ plunges 40 places to No.83. But Fleetwood Mac’s latest best-of ’50 Years : Don’t Stop’ plummets a mammoth 78 places to No.85.
Northlane’s ‘Alien’ is also down heavily… down 45 places to No.87.
And there are more; Himesh Patel’s ‘Yesterday’ is down 33 to No.94, Safia’s ‘Story’s Start Or End’ in freefall, nose-diving an enormous 82 places from last week’s No.13 debut. Drake’s ‘Care Package’ is also down heavily, losing 46 places to No.96. Ditto The Teskey Brothers’ ‘Half Mile Harvest’, down 56 places to No.100.
Two albums which debuted in the top 30 last week have gone entirely from the top 100; Route 33’s ‘Coro Drive’ (No.26) and Trippie Redd’s ‘!’ (No.24).
