Warning! You’re going to fall for this cocktail!
Strawberry Gin Mojito is simple and refreshing.
Muddled strawberries and mint are mixed with gin instead of rum in this mojito
then topped with bubbly tonic water.
The Mojito, a Cuban cocktail, has become immensely popular in the last few years. I’ll admit, it’s my favorite! It’s light and refreshing which makes it perfect for hot days and balmy nights.
It’s delicately flavored with strawberry and mint, cool gin and sparkling tonic. This is a tasty cocktail for day drinking with your friends a ladies brunch or festive cocktail hour!
I tested this mojito during the day, as seen on Instagram. My job is wonderful! Be sure to follow me on Instagram for behind-the-scenes posts pictures!
I can only grow mint in the Spring and Summer. I love, love, love mojitos full of mint. I also love a rum drink. It’s reminds me of the beach. I love the beach too!
Last year, I shared a Traditional Mojito, Strawberry Mojito, Orange Mojito and a Coconut Mojito! I went a little Mojito cray cray!
So.
I decided to change it up this time!
(Enter) Gin!
I know, scandalous! But, it’s oh so yummy!
This is how I make it. To a shaker, add 1/2 cup crushed ice, 3 to 4 strawberries and 5 mint leaves. Muddle this to release the juice and flavors. Next, add gin, fresh lemon juice, usually that’s about half a lemon, and simple syrup. Shake this all together and pour over ice in a tumbler. This mixture will not fill the glass, finish filling the glass with tonic water and stir to combine.
Do not add the tonic to the shaker and shake it…
ok, if you do, I want to hear about it…
Garnish with lemon, strawberry or mint.
