Name Recommendations
The Naming Commission concluded its recommendation gathering period at 5 p.m. EST, December 1, 2021.
We are grateful to the thousands of Americans who participated in this historic process. More than 34,000 submissions were received during this period and have been reviewed by the Commission.
The names of our military installations should appropriately reflect the courage, values and sacrifices of our diverse military men and women, with consideration given to the local or regional significance of names and their potential to inspire and motivate our service members.
