Notes and trivia[]

• The Gordunni ogres also collected cobalt and became protective of it, burying it in the ground of Feralas.^[2]
• The quarry of the Isle of Conquest is full of cobalt.
• Cobalt is a real metal, traditionally used for making blue dye, and has a number of modern industrial uses. Azeroth's cobalt glows blue, and is stronger than several "fantasy" metals, so it is probably not the same metal as Earth's.

Patch changes[]

• Patch 3.2.0 (2009-08-04): In addition to the normal requirements, mining deposits in Northrend now require a minimum character level of 65 to mine.
